10 Reasons You May Not Be Losing Weight

I have been a personal trainer in Llanelli for almost 2 years now and I have had so far 2 clients who have come to me and not mentioned weight loss as part of their goal. People’s weight is very important to them and one of the main reasons that people exercise is to lose weight, more specifically fat.

I guarantee that everyone of you who have tried to lose weight have experienced setbacks on the way.

The purpose of this short article is to find out some reasons why people fail in their attempts to lose weight as well as offering some solutions to help you.

I read on the BBC website recently that two thirds of middle aged people in Wales are overweight or obese.

The fast food, lazy lifestyle that most people have adopted is having its effect.

You’d think that those statistics would be good business for me but sadly a lot of these people don’t care and don’t want to do anything about it.

Being overweight and obese is terrible for your health, all of that extra body fat massively increases your chances of suffering from extremely harmful health problems.

The fact that you are reading this article shows that you don’t fall into that category and you want to do something about improving your health and improving your appearance.

Have a look through the list to see if any of the following may apply to you:

  1. You blow it on weekends
  2. You have a medical condition
  3. You are not being consistent with your healthy eating and exercise
  4. Impatience! You have not given yourself enough time to see results
  5. You have hit a plateau
  6. You are not exercising enough or you are exercising too much
  7. You are not getting enough sleep – people who work nights suffer on this one!!
  8. You are eating too much or you are not eating enough
  9. You are too stressed out
  10. You don’t need to lose weight

  • Training
  • Nutrition
  • Supplements(men only IMO)women only need supplements in extreme cases
  • Rest and Recovery
  • Try a new activity
  • Hire a Personal Trainer (I know a good one ;-))
