Fit At Fifty, The Gym Filled Her With Fear

January brought another inspiring lady through my doors at the gym.
Mel and her friend started training with me in January, Mel had never done anything like this before and just wanted to give it a go.
She’s a normal person, busy mum, busy work life, dogs to walk and an even busier social life.
Mel won’t mind me saying that she wasn’t in the shape she wanted to be in which brought her to make the decision to start training with me.
What we’ve done over the last few months is initially just get her fitter, we’ve used strength training to get her stronger and we’ve worked on the nutrition side of things.
One thing Mel has struggled with is balancing a hectic social life with a healthy life. It’s not been perfect but she’s proving that it can be done and it is possible to still be healthy whilst enjoying everything that life has to offer.
Here’s what she had to say:
I have been going to Jamie’s twice a week for a few months and I really enjoy it. I turned 50 this year and have stayed away from any kind of exercise for over a decade and the thought of going to a gym filled me with fear, I read about Jamie’s small classes on Facebook and decided with my sister-in-law to give it a go and basically haven’t looked back.
I really enjoy the classes as they are so friendly but at the same time Jamie is getting me to do exercises that I would never have believed I could ever do. I have quite a busy family and social life so I am not always committed to dieting but I have still managed to lose weight almost every week which I am thrilled with. I feel so much better about myself, I am sleeping so much better and I have so much more energy. I’m really enjoying training these days and if I miss a class I am really disappointed. I would recommend Jamie as trainer, he is such a good way of making people feel relaxed whilst helping them achieve their goals.
That is another thing I hear a lot, going to a gym filled me with fear.
That’s why I set up on my own and have grown and improved my private studio over the years to what it is today (more exciting changes to come too!).
If you don’t want to attend a busy gym and feel lost then why not get started on my Revitalise Plan. All the details below.
Take care,
Jamie Stedman
