My Own Personal Medicine

It seems like nearly everyone I speak to over the age of 50 (sometimes younger) is on some form of medication.
Some are on it for life!
The work that scientists and these big pharma companies do is absolutely amazing and genuinely is life saving but I think we’ve got the wrong attitude towards medicine.
I think having all of this medication┬áreadily available to help manage┬áthings such as diabetes and high blood pressure for example don’t teach us to address the problem.
Statins, beta blockers and all of this stuff helps to manage the condition so we don’t have to change our wicked ways.
More often than not having elevated cholesterol levels, type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure is due to:
– A poor diet
– Smoking
– Drinking too much
– Not exercising┬á
For me these are the things that should be addressed first and then the medication comes in.
Unfortunately this is not the way in today’s society.
For me, if I was told I was on medication for life I’d be horrified and would do everything I can to fix it naturally is possible.
Regain control.
Just some food for thought…
Speaking of food.
That’s my favourite medicine.
I take it 3-4 times a day.
Wash it down with 3 litres of water.
I take protein, fats and carbohydrates in their most natural and unrefined form.

PS To reiterate I know full well that these medication are needed and save lives. Don’t ditch your meds after reading this. My point is if you try and address the issue at it’s root cause (YOU) then you could reduce your dose eventually.
