Organic Eating
I wanted to briefly touch upon organic food, is it better for us than non organic? In your food plan I don’t really mention organic food I just say fruit, veg, meat etc.
Is organic better?I would say definitely. Although it is more expensive you should eat organic food as much as possible.
By buying organic food you are getting more benefits than just a nicer tasting meal, you are making a stand against processed food and you are saying no to the chemicals, hormones and toxins which are being pumped into our meat, eggs, fruit and vegetables. You are showing that you actually care about what you are putting into your body on a day to day basis.
If we saw the process from start to finish of many of our foods in the supermarket I’m sure we would think more than twice about eating it. In most cases the perfect shaped food in the supermarket is often the end product of genetic engineering and an endless amount of growth hormones.
With regards to organic meat, you know that the animal has lived in good conditions, this helps to promote healthier animals who are less prone to illness for the duration of their life.
I know though that healthy eating can be expensive enough as it is without having to buy organic so I’ve put together a list of 15 foods you should buy organically as much as possible and 15 foods you don’t need to eat organically.
